The trouble with being me is that I’m very good at knowing what is and isn’t a mistake. Maybe when I explain it later I’ll lie and say it seemed like a good idea at the time. But that’s bullshit. Don’t believe it for a minute. I know mistakes. I’ll spot one a mile away, say to myself “This is an awful idea.” And then I’ll run out to meet it like an old, dearly missed friend.
